Telugu Movie Review: BALUPU
Mass Maharaja Raviteja after long time came with another mass entertainer Balupu. Gopichand Mallini came with this Balupu after his previous directorial venture Bodyguard was a Blockbuster. Even Sruti Hasan is come from Gabbar Singh success. Lets see how it fared at Box Office? Does Mass Maharaja break his flops streak??
Cast: Ravi Teja, Sruthi Hassan, Anajali, Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, Asutosh Rana and more.
Plot: Ravi Teja works as an loan recover officer and stays with his father Prakash Raj in Bangalore. In the mean Raviteja will get to know how Sruthi Hassan along with Brahmanandam (Crazy Mohan) fools fellow people with their ideas and Ravi teja plans to teach a lesson. In the process Sruthi falls in love with hero and informs her parents about her love and breaks her previous engagement. Now Asutosh Rana entires scene and kidnaps Sruthi Hassan. Need to watch movie to know who is Asutosh Rana? Why he kidnaps Sruthi Hassan? What is link between Raviteja and Asuthosh Rana?
Plus Points: After Mirpakay same energy levels were carried by Ravi teja in this movie. Dialogue delivery and variations which we expect from him are pleasant and entertains audience. Comedy scenes with Brahmanandam worked out really well. Entertaining first half with full dose of comedy makes you enjoy the movie a ton. Brahmanadam's gangman style dance moments will remain highlight in movie. Interval twist was good and laid very good foundation for second half. Anjali in Flash back episode was good and glamorous.
Minus Points: Movie was carried with high energy quotient in first half which was missing in second half and seems like dragged and misses charm. Preclimax scenes should have been taken proper care which effected overall output of the movie. Thaman has lost his charm and all his tones and recording seems to be like copied from his previous movies. Preclimax comedy scenes like jamping japang dance was monotonous and effected the flow of movie.
Verdict: Is Raviteja back??? May be a bit if proper care would have been taken in second half by director. Cheap comedy in climax, placement of song before climax should be chopped to make movie more crispy. Movie goes well in B & C centres, but misses charm for A centres. Audience who like Ravi Teja energy levels and variations can go and watch, remaining its up to you.
Atlast I found a place where I can find some genuine reviews.
